Network Engineer Position

Network Engineer’s experience will include:

  • Building and troubleshooting PCs and servers.

  • Onsite installation and configuration of PCs, servers, thin clients, networking components, printers and other computer peripherals in a corporate environment.

  • Server and PC backup (imaging, remote synchronization and tape backups). Migration of Outlook, Lotus Notes, Active Directory, Terminal Services, printers, and locally stored user data.

  • Malware removal (spyware, virii, adware, rootkits).

  • A solid history of relevant job experience.

  • Proven track record of good business ethics

  • Valid driving license and good driving record, as well as reliable vehicle

Added pluses include:

  • Implementation and maintenance of mail servers: Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Domino, qmail, exim.

  • Data Recovery from degraded RAID arrays and corrupted and/or damaged Hard Drives.

  • CISCO, CISSP, MCSE, MCSA, SBS, Citrix and other certifications.

  • Web development experience with Drupal (preferred), Joomla, Wordpress, MediaWiki, etc. Comfortable implementing and maintaining the LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) stack, web based control panels (IE. cpanel), phpmyadmin, awstats, ftp, google webmaster tools, SEO, XML sitemaps, & website backups.

  • Web design experience with Graphics, site themes, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and flash animation.

  • Virtulization experience: VMWare and/or VirtualBox & physical to virtual conversions.

  • Security consciousness including -- but not limited to -- physical, personal and organizational layers.

You must be a Self-Starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and customer service skills. You must be organized and efficient; proficient and accurate in all work performed, including system documentation and work order write-up. Attention to detail is imperative to ensure that all work is completed correctly the first time.
